I don’t share a lot of personal stuff, but sometimes it’s helpful to remind you that I’m a real person too. Although I could easily be mistaken for a robot on occasion. But truly, we’re just like you – we have highs and lows, reasons to be joyful and to cry, good days and not-so-good days. At the end of it all, we feel extremely blessed, and while life isn’t perfect, there’s not much that we would trade. Maybe one of the dogs for something a little quieter. Anyway, I hope you feel equally blessed, and remember, we’re all trying to get through this thing together!
I know that we’re now well into 2018, so this comes a little late, but that’s kinda how we roll around here. We tend to show up five or ten (or thirty, who am I kidding?) minutes after the party has started. Especially with an extra kid in tow… Yeah, speaking of that, we added another to the mix in 2017.
Probably the biggest development of the year was that our clan of four became five.
J is holding her own just fine, although E doesn’t always make it easy.
On a larger scale, two also became six.
Showing some great sisterly love already.
We maintained our unique sense of style.
And started developing a new one.
We rode on some trains.
Checked out some cool planes.
Watched hot air balloons light up the night sky.
And we visited other cities to see some funny contraptions attempt to fly.
We worked on our soccer skills.
And made some perhaps questionable decisions. I’m not sure how she ended up with that in her hands.
We continued our education.
And once we learned how to eat, we ate.
And ate some more.
We made funny faces. A lot.
We made snow angels.
And were purely angelic. Don’t let the costume fool you though.
We followed the yellow-brick road.
And couldn’t contain the excitement for our first Christmas.
Another year has flown by, and we’re looking forward to what the next year brings.
I hope you’re doing the same.
Enjoy life.
