The Marines have been in town this week, so we’ve had a few flyovers of various aircraft throughout the day, mostly the MV-22 Osprey, the funky looking helicopter/plane hybrid. Pretty interesting, actually. There are a bunch of exhibits and demonstrations, including a pair of simulated beach assaults at Burke Lakefront Airport. If you’re around this weekend, stop on down – I think everything is free, which is hard to beat!
